I was driving yesterday and noticed the leaves changing colour on a couple of the trees and immediately I started grumping and complaining that summer is creeping to an end.
But then I caught myself and started thinking what am I complaining about, seriously fall is an amazing time of year. The beautiful colours, all of the fresh veggies from the garden, canning, sitting by the fire on cool evenings, comfort foods (oh how I love homemade soup), comfy sweaters, oh heck my list is endless.
Then I took it one step farther and thought of the wonderful things that come with winter, the first snow fall, skating outside, hoar frost, playing board games in front of the fireplace, etc. and then all of a sudden it’s spring and well you get the point.
There is good and bad for every situation in life so be grateful for the things you can do, and don’t worry about the things you can’t. The same principle can be applied to our seasons: Be grateful for the good things they offer you, as well as the challenging ones.
